Materials and Construction
|
All Forte Baltic birch cabinets are constructed with high-grade, 3/4" thick, 13-ply Baltic birch. Channels milled out of the birch reduce weight, while maintaining strength and stiffness where it's needed. Locking miter joints and premium glue provide outstanding strength and durability.

Our lightweight cabinets are contructed with 3/4" thick black poplar plywood, aka Italian poplar (top/bottom/sides), and composite panels (speaker baffle/back panel) consisting of a polypropylene honeycomb core bonded with fiberglass/resin and faced with polycrylic-coated luaun on both sides. This composite material is very stiff and light, and has excellent vibration damping properties, making it an ideal baffle material.

All Forte speaker cabinets are wired with 1/4" Switchcraft jacks. Speakers mount from the rear with high-quality 6-pronged T-nuts. Cabinets can be ordered unloaded, or you may choose from speakers by Celestion, Scumback, Tone Tubby, Weber, and WGS.
